PIO Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (PIOCCI) together with Invest India and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, announced a new joint initiative to help streamline and induce Diaspora economic engagement, specifically investment in any sector in India.
PIO INVESTOR HELP DESK inaugurated and launched by Honourable Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Railways Shri Piyush Goyal ji in Delhi on 10th January 2020 at 10 AM at the Darbar Hall Of the Taj Palace Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
PIOCCI works with Invest India to enhance the outreach and connect with Non Resident Indian (NRI) and People of Indian Origin (PIO) investors through PIOCCI Chapters in countries around the world, and in States of India. Invest India and PIOCCI jointly coordinate their overseas outreach efforts with the Missions of India across the world to generate awareness and respond to queries regarding investment in India.
This will serve as a fast track mechanism for investors to fill in a Form for Query Resolution, wherein NRIs and OCIs can raise their concerns and questions regarding investing in India. Invest India works with various stakeholders to include Union Government Ministries and State Governments.
