Indo-Nepal Economic Development and Cooperation on 3-5 March, 2017
PIOCCI participated in the Indian Delegation to Nepal for the Indo-Nepal Economic Development and Cooperation organized by Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) jointly with Neeti Anusandhan Pratishthan of Nepal held on 3-5 March, 2017 at Birgunj, Nepal.
The meet was called to have a comprehensive analysis of the relations and cooperation between India and Nepal, especially in the economic and commercial context.
The meeting was attended by eminent personalities from both India and Nepal and had meaningful discussion and several suggestions came out of the mind churning discussions spanning two days.
The prominent speakers from India included former officers of Indian Foreign Service all being former diplomats, office bearers of Anatr Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad, the think tank in India analyzing and advocating policies in international relations of India, professionals, journalists, officials of Research and Information System for Developing Countries, chartered accountants, management professionals.
The prominent speakers from Nepal included industrialists, entrepreneurs, political leaders, business association leaders, members of chambers of commerce, bureaucrat, consultant professionals etc.
The meet was very fruitful and the relationship of India and Nepal in the background of ups and downs of the last few years was critically examined positive suggestions came up during the discussions and the meet agreed that the same to be submitted to the suitable platforms of both the governments.
