Honourable Shri Piyush Goel, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways, delivering the keynote address at the launch of the ‘PIO Investor Help Desk’ initiative on 10 th January 2020 at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi. The initiative is a public private partnership between Invest India (Ministry of Commerce & Industry) and PIO Chamber of Commerce & Industry. PIOCCI has chapters and representatives in more than 50 countries with significant Indian Diaspora population, as well as in 20 states of India. Representatives of 20 countries and states were present at the event.

A strategic partnership created by PIOCCI is with a youth organization called INSA that has blossomed globally and is garnering good numbers. At least 35 members of INSA-Bharat members attended the launch of the ‘PIO Investor Help Desk’ initiative. INSA members are Indian students who were educated overseas and many of them continue to adopt the country of their education but a significant number of them are now returning back to India. These bright and promising youth are professionals and business persons and some of them have already made a mark in the sectors.

Invest India and PIOCCI websites carry electronic banners directing interested Diaspora investors to find information, projects as well as to direct queries on to the platform jointly monitored and implemented by the partners.
